Summertime dance workshops in Chennai
ABHAI brings to you the annual Abhivriddhi Shaala for dance students in the age group, 15 years and above. Here are the details - May 1st to May 8th – A rare Varnam, a choreographic work of Vazhuvoor B. Ramaiah Pillai will be taught by KANAKA SRINIVASAN (Padmashri awardee) of New Delhi. Time 9.30 am to 11.30 am There are two other standalone workshops - May 1st – An interactive session on the theme – Presence in Theater and Bharatanatyam - will be conducted by Palani and senior dancer Priya Murle. Time: 3.00 P.M – 5.00 P.M For the age group 15 years and below May 2nd - 4th. Senior dancer and guru Roja Kannan will teach the intricacies of Keerthanam/padam. Time: 3.00 P.M – 5.00 P.M May 5th - 7 th - Senior dancer N Srikanth will teach the nuances of a Tirupughaz. Bragha Bessell's abhinaya workshop in May: Bangalore
Bangalore-based Nadam is organising a dance recital by senior Bharatanatyam dancer and guru Bragha Bessell on 30th April, 2015 at 6:30pm at Seva Sadan, 14th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore. Nadam and Ananya are then jointly conducting an Abhinaya workshop from 1st May to 7th May, 2015 by Bragha. There will be two sessions.
