On June 11, the workshop is on “Rhythmic Aspects: Tala, Laya, Gati, Nadai & Kalpramanam” by vidvan Guruvayur Dorai from 10.00a.m to 12 noon. On June 12, the workshop is on “Music Appreciation” by senior vocalist S. Sowmya from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30p.m. Both the workshops are for registered participants. Two-day camp on Indian Music; near Chennai
Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music (SAM) based some 90kms south of Chennai will be hosting a two-day camp on Indian Music over two days through master classes, workshops and performances by a host of accomplished Indian musicians. In conjunction with the 10-week Indian Music Certificate offered at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, this two-day camp will introduce participants to the essence of Indian music with SAM's Indian Music faculty who will give people a feel of what you can expect in the 10-week certificate course. This camp will foster an appreciation of Indian music art forms featuring Violin, Mridangam, Sitar and Tabla The faculty includes Dr. M.
