Big Contest for Young Vocalists
The fifth edition of The Hindu-Saregama M.S. Subbulakshmi Award 2016 is rolling - and this contests invite all the young vocal talent out there to take a shot at this grand title that has a lot to offer. Musicians / music students aged between 18 and 25 can participate in the contest. They have to send in a voice recording not exceeding 15 minutes on a compact disc on or before October 4 to M. S. Subbulakshmi Award 2016, C/o SAREGAMA, Kasi Arcade, 116, Theagaraya Road, T Nagar, Chennai-600017 along with their name, age, address and contact numbers. For more information, contact T. Dikshitar kriti music competition
Guruguhaamrta is conducting its 6th annual national-level Dikshitar Kriti Competition for students in the age group of 8 to 25. The Chennai prelim test will be on October 15. Prelims are also held elsewhere. The last date for applying is October 8. Winners will receive the Smt. Vijayalakshmi Rajasundaram Memorial Tambura prizes.
