CHENNAI: Rasoham's dance show features 100 dancers, musicians

Rasoham, a cultural trust in Chennai run by Lavanya and Lasya, is presenting its annual Unity Concert Series’ on the 25th of November 2012 at the Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai at 5 p.m. This cultural extravaganza is titled ‘Landscape of Emotions’ and features one hundred dancers, musicians and technicians. This production of two hours explores the idea of unity at several levels. In keeping with the core idea, dancing couples wedded to each other will play all the principal paired roles. As these five couples travel through the five poetic landscapes of the production they experience and portray the unifying current of love that runs through the narrative. At a third level it entwines the twin forms of classical and folk traditions through lively and colourful dances in both genres presented infive different languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam) thereby deftly reaching out to a wide audience spectrum and uniting them in a narrative of timeless love.
