In the backdrop of Sri Ramanavami, Aalaap (a Chennai-based initiative in the performing arts and assists artistes in the many aspects of ideation, design, content, curation and publicity) is presenting Ramavali, a day-long workshop that attempts to explore and impart nine songs based on Lord Rama.
Dr Subhashini Parthasarathy, well known Carnatic vocalist will helm the session. The 9 songs that will be taught will celebrate the glory of Rama interpreted by different composers and languages.
On March 22, 10 am to 3 pm at 136.1 Yoga Studio, Alwarpet.

Dr Subhashini Parthasarathy is a well-known Carnatic vocalist based in Chennai and a disciple of eminent scholars like T M Thiagarajan and the great padam exponent, T Mukta. Dr Subhashini is an A grade artiste of Doordarshan.
