Music Academy award for Alarmel Valli

The tenth edition of the Dance Festival hosted by The Music Academy was launched on January 3 and will be on till January 9, 2016.

Roy Kho, Consul General, Consulate General of the Republic of Singapore, Chennai, inaugurated the Dance Festival and conferred the “Natya Kala Acharya” award on dancer and guru based in Chennai Alarmel Valli on January 3 evening.

A series of dance recitals are held here - with the senior dancers performing every evening and these shows alone are ticketed. The others are free to the audience.

This fest follows the much longer Music Fest and Conference of the Academy.
