Music and dance rasikas who must have their daily dose of concerts will be happy that all sabhas and arts bodies are going ahead with their December Season festivals.
At a rare meeting of some leading sabhas, the managers decided to go ahead with the Season and offer it as a tribute to all those who have been affected by Chenani's deluge since early December.
Though some artistes like Bombay Jayashri and Vijay Siva, Anita Ratnam and Gopika Varma and Priya Murle and Roja Kannan have cancelled their recitals, most musicians are committing themselves though some have been badly affected as rainwater ran into their houses.
Sri Krishna Gana Sabha in T. Nagar is the only sabha that has said it will launch .ts Fest only on Dec.20 and not on scheduled dates
Since its end-November launch, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan continues hosting its Fest concerts at its hall on East Mada Street and diehard rasikas are making the most of it.
Sabhas have said that they will stage the Fests but will accommodate changes of artistes who are affected by the deluge or wish to stay away.
