Guitarist R Prasanna may perhaps have a memorable Season this December if some of his plans go on well despite the Chenani deluge and upset schedules.
This year, at least 5 of his students who learn Carnatic music on the guitar are coming in from abroad to be here for the Season and many of them will also be performing at sabhas.
These sishyas are in their teens and have been studying under Prasanna for over year.
"Teaching is my new focus, " said the famed guitarist after his first recital this Season at Bhavans, Mylapore. "I felt this was the time to lessen my own recitals and teach kids."
At his first concert here, he had sishya Raghav alongside him.
He wants us to watch out for Shyam who is said to be a wizard on the guitar and has already won many awards in the USA.
