Over recent years, the December Season has taken root in far flung areas of the city - Tambaram and Velachery, Chromepet and Perambur, Nanganallur and Valasarawakkam.
In Velachery, a sprawling neighbourhood which is home to IT professionals since the IT parks are located in this area, Nada Sudha is sabha which hosts a music and dance fest and this Season, the fest opens on December 22 evening.

The fest is on from December 22 January 12, 2020. P. R. Seshadri, MD & CEO, Karur Vysa Bank will inaugurate the fest. Awards are to be presented to artistes Udayalur Kalyanaraman Bhagavatar, Vittal Ramamurthy, Neyveli Narayanan and K. S. Rangachari. This will be followed by a kutcheri on the violin by the Akkarai Sisters.
Topnotch artistes like Sanjay Subrahmanyan, Ramana Balachandran, Pantula Rama, Kunnakudi Balamuralikrishna, Ramakrishnan Murthy and Ranjani-Gayathri besides others are lined up to perform here. Admission is free.
A few dance recitals are also scheduled here after the music fest including a dance-drama themed Thirumylai Kurivanji by dancers Roja Kannan and Priya Murle and their group of dancers.
