In Mylapore, the Panchamugha Anjaneya Aradhana Trust is hosting music concerts at a hall in Chitrakulam and some topnotch artistes like Prof. T. N. Krishnan are listed to perform here in the evenings, with early afternoon slots meant for junior artistes.
Elsewhere, Maarga is holding music concerts at the Ramakrishna Mission School on Burkitt Road, T. Nagar.
The Sivananda Gurukulam in Maraimalai Nagar, outside the city on the south side and off the Grand South Trunk Road is hosting music concerts featuring big names (classical and film singer S P Balasubramanyam - SPB) and veena artiste Rajhesh Vaidya were among the artistes listed), they being ticketed. The Ashram here is a NGO of over 70 years taking care of orphans and deprived children.
The Vendhanta Desikar Devasthanam is also holding a music fest at its hall in Mylapore; on till Dec.31 while Giri Trading promoted Gayatri Fine Arts has launched its own veena and Carnatic music fest at its new place in Mylapore.
Rasika Fine Arts launched its own music fest at a school in West Mambalam - the Kanchi Mutt swamigal was present to launch it one recent evening and awards given to vocalist Brindha Manickavasakan and jalatarangam senior artiste, Ayyampatti S. Ganesan.
