The Other Festival from Dec.1

The Park's The Other Festival will begin on Dec. 1 and will be on till Dec. 7.

The arts festival jointly organised by Prakriti Foundation Arangham Trust will be held at Museum Theatre, Chennai at 7pm daily on these days.

The festival will feature Navtej Johar and the Abhyas Dance Ensemble, New Delhi, a solo performance by Pathy Aiyer, Bangalore, a performance by InDance, Canada and Post Natyam Collective, USA. The festival will also feature Collaborative Acrobatics and Martial Arts by Jerry Snell and James Tanabe, Paul Sartin and Benji Kirkpatrick - English folk, a programme by dancer Nirupama Nityanandan and by Anita Majumdar, Canada.

Festival of Vintage Carnatic Music / Chennai

Carnatica, an arts organisation and website is organising a music festival featuring senior vidwans and vidushis from December 1 to 7.

Dedicated to 108 legendary artistes, the festival will have multimedia presentations, picture displays and vintage audio clips of yester year musicians.

The festival will feature Manakkal S. Rangarajan, O. S. Thiagarajan, Alleppey P. Venkatesan, . R. K. Srikantan, T. N. Krishnan & Viji Krishnan Natarajan - violin duet, Rama Ravi and Suguna Purushottaman and Suguna Varadachari (Vocal Duet).

The programmes will be held at the Tattvaloka auditorium, Eldams Road, Chennai - 18 and will start at 4.15 daily.
