Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam music competition

Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam is holding its annual student music competition on September 24, 2005. The contest will be held at a Chicago area auditorium. Entrants are to submit demo tapes/CDs before August 21, 2005, which will be screened by eminent musicians. Selected students will perform and compete live on September 24.

A student may compete in any number of several categories depending on her/his proficiency level and the type of music she/he trained in (vocal, instrumental or percussion).

Winners will be awarded prizes, and will be invited to perform (limited time) at the 30th CTU to be held in May 2006. There is a registration fee of $20 per entry. For details visit www.tyagaraja-chicago.org E-mail: sadagopan74@comcast.net
