Ravikiran's concert for 'Tsunami relief' / U.S.A
The International Foundation for Carnatic Music (IFCM), a unit of Ravikiran Foundation, announced in Chennai, India, that the IFCM pledged a minimum sum of Rs. 50,000/ as its initial contribution towards relief for those affected by the tsunami.
Chitravina Ravikiran performs in a jugalbandhi concert on Jan. 23 in Houston, U.S.A, to raise more funds for the tsunami victims.
The IFCM would join hands with other relief agencies to work towards medium and long term measures in the affected areas.
Cheques or Demand Drafts drawn in favour of 'The International Foundation for Carnatic Music - Tsunami relief' can be sent to 105, II Cross, VGP Layout, Part I, Palavakkam, Chennai, 600041, India.
In a press release, Ravikiran also says that he would be happy to participate in fundraising efforts for tsunami victims in any part of the world.
