Thyagaraja Aradhana in Los Angeles
The 158th Tyagaraja Aradana was celebrated in Los Angeles by the Hindu Temple Society of Southern California. Students of Ganasaraswathy, Geetha Bennett, Rose Muralikrishna, Muralikrishna, Kalyani Sadanandam, Suba Narayanan, Shankari Sendilkumar, Vasantha, Padma, Sundanda, Krishnan presented a concert.
After the invocation 'Sri Ganapatini', the group rendered the Pancharatna kritis of the Saint with devotional fervour. This was followed by a clarionet recital by Sangeetha who also plays the violin and sings as well. (She is the daughter of Ganasaraswathy and the niece of the famed violin trio L. Vaidyanathan, L. Subramaniam and L. Shankar.
Many youngsters Hamsini, Arti, Kavya, Sreya, Mira, Shakith, Visnu, Suraj, Parthasarathy, Mayuri, Sahana, Sankar Subramaniam, Venkatesh, Malini and Lochini participated in this day long festival starting from morning 11 till 9 pm and played the keyboards, mridangam, violin, veena and flute. This festival was organized by Ganasaraswathy along with her able team of members.
