'Thaka Dhimi Tha', the Bharatanatyam game show on Jaya T.V that operates from Madras has launched its third series from 16 February. And the new anchor is actress-dancer Sukanya. The previous series were anchored by dancer-actresses Bhanupriya and Shobana.

Aired every Sunday morning at 10 am, this series will have new segments and a different flavour.

In the first segment 'Bharatham', Sukanya will explain one aspect of the art of Bharatanatyam and perform a dance piece. In the second segment, 'Natyanjali', the participants will perform a classical number.

And in 'Sangamam' the creative segment, the contestants will exhibit their talent and imagination by performing classical movements to western music and 'abhinaya' (expressions) to classical film songs.

Radhika Shurajit the director says that more than 100 young students of dance from all over Tamil Nadu and other states have participated and won prizes.

Leading dancers like Sudharani Raghupathy, Chitra Visweswaran, Padma Subrahmanyam, Lakshmi Viswanathan, Anita Ratnam, Udupi Laxminarayanan, Adyar K. Lakshmanan, C.V. Chandrasekhar and Ranganayaki Jayaraman among others have judged the contestants and selected the winners.

The script and artiste co-ordination has been done by Churchill Pandian.

So far, in the previous episodes, this game show has featured about 300 young dancers.
