Sree Ramaseva Mandali's fest

Come April and Bangalore city awakens to the soulful music that the music lovers so look forward to every year with much anticipation. This year too Bangalore's music season is all set to begin in several parts of the city.

Of all these celebrations, the one organized by Sree Ramaseva Mandali, Chamarajpet, Bangalore is most well-known and diverse in catering to the taste of the classical music loving crowd of Bangalore.

Founded by S V Narayana Swamy Rao, this organization initially began in all earnest with celebrations of Ganesha, Holi and Ramanavami festivals. Soon it tasted its first success and since then the stage here is till today considered to be one of the most revered among the musicians across the country. It is said that violin maestro T Chowdiah and flute king T R Mahalingam loved performing here as did M S Subbalakshmi who has sung here for 35 years in succession.

2003 season at RamaSeva Mandali will be organized at Fort High School in Chamarajpet, Bangalore from April 11 to May 18 2003. The stage provides opportunity for both junior artists as well as the established ones. This year's line up includes some of the biggest names in Indian classical music including K J Yesudas, U Srivinas, Kadri Gopalnath, Rajkumar Bharati, R K Srikantan, and Sudha Raghunathan among others.

For music lovers its all happening here in Bangalore and this month-long music festival is something that has to be enjoyed and experienced by one to feel and sense the divine musical aura that it creates.

Sree Seshadripuram Ramaseva Samithi

Sree Seshadripuram Ramaseva Samithi, Bangalore will hold the 55th Year Sri Ramanavami Music Festival from 11 April to 4 May 2003 at the open air auditorium, Seshadripuram college premises, Bangalore.

Concerts featuring top artistes will be held at 6.30 pm daily.

Talent Promotion concerts will be held at 5.15 pm from 14 April.

The fest will be inaugurated by Prof. B.K. Chandrashekar, Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education, Govt. of Karnataka and S. Krishna Murthy, Former Director, AIR will preside over.
