| Families Dance! |   | |||
 Association of Bharathanatyam Artistes of India, (ABHAI) based in Chennai, south India, celebrated its annual day in Chennai with a dance festival titled 'Sa Kutumba Nritya Samaaroh'.
The event opened with items learnt at the monthly workshops of ABHAI which are held in Chennai. The main festival was on dance presentations by families in professional classical dance. This 22 minute-video has clips from the performances of the four troupes who performed. The first shows M. V. Narasimhachari and his wife Vasanthalakshmi, daughters Lavanya and Lasya and their relative, Sangeetha. This particular piece was titled 'Viswaasakhi. The second part in the video features the the Dhananjayans - V. P. Dhananjayan, wife Shantha, son Satyajit and a relative. This piece is based on 'Yen palli kondeer-aiyah, Sriranganatha!' The third part of the video features the dancer-son of Mumbai-based guru Kalyanasundaram. The final part of the video features guru Prof. C V Chandrasekar.
