| Raghavendra Academy of Music (RAM) was recently inaugurated by Vairamangalam Lakshminarayanan, a senior staff of Kalakshetra at Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai-41.
The Academy now conducts a carnatic and Tamil isai music contest (vocal and instrumental) on May 8 and 9, 2004. The competition is for non-professionals aged between 5 to 25 years. Non-professionals above 25 years can participate only in the Tamil Isai competition. The course duration is 45 days / 60 days. You can learn Thiruppugazh and Divyaprabhandam compositions, Tamil songs of Bharathiar and Bharathidasan, basics of carnatic music like Swarajithi, Varnams, Kritis and Manodharma Sangeetham. | ||||
