Honours for Hyderabad Sisters  
The 62nd Sri Thyagaraja Festival of music and dance at Tirupathi will be held from July 22 to August 1, 2004. And this year, the fest is being dedicated to the memory of Rukmini Devi Arundale. The inaugural day features a dance drama by Kalakshetra artistes.

At the Sadas to be held on August 1, the title of 'Sapthagiri Sangeetha Vidwanmani' will be conferred on vocalists Hyderabad Sisters - Lalitha and Haripriya.

The fest predominantly features duo concerts this time, like Mandolin Sisters, Priya Sisters, Saxophone Sisters, Mayavaram Sisters, Matunga Sisters, Violin duo Lalitha and Nandini, Vijayawad T.K. Sisters, Mambalam Sisters, Saralaya Sisters, Sathoor Sisters, Sikkil Sisters, Ragam Sisters, Trichur Brothers, Malladi Brothers, Hyderabad Sisters, Indira Kameshwar and N. Sarala, Padmavathi Annathagopalan and Jayanthi Kumaresh (veena), Sheik Mehboob Subani and Khalisabi Mehboob (nadaswaram), besides T.N. Krishnan (violin), Sanjay Subrahmanyam, T.M. Krishna, Geetha Krishnamurthy, S.P. Sailaja (Kuchipudi) among other artistes.
