| On September 1, 2004 South Indian Cultural Association (SICA) in association with Vamsee Art Theatres International presented a vocal Kutcheri by NRI artiste Sudha Lakshmi Rao. A disciple of Gurus Susarla Shivaram and M. S. Balasubrahmanya Sarma, Sudha has a Master's in Carnatic Music from Padmavathi Mahila University in Tirupati. She is settled in Freemont, California since 1988.
In a two hour performance, Sudha squeezed in as many as 14 compositions of Thyagaraja, Annamacharya, Vasudevachar, Bhadrachala Ramdas, Balamurali Krishna and others. Her renditions included Pari Pari Nee Padame (Hamsadhwani), Upacharamu Chekonu (Bhairavi), Devadhi Deva (Sunada Vinodini), Ora Choopu (Kannada Gowla), Nidhi Chala Sukhama (Kalyani), Bhavayami Gopalam (Yamuna Kalyani). It ended with Ay Thiruga Nannu Daya Choochedavo and Ramachandraya two compositions of Ramadas on Sri Rama at Bhadrachalam.
Dinakar on violin, Burra Sriram on mridangam and Radha Padmaja on morsing provided the accompaniments.
