Jaya TV launches a new edition of 'Thaka Dhimi Tha', a game show on Bharatanatyam, aired every Sunday at 8 am. The new series kicks off this weekend (on September 19, 2004).

Highlight of the new edition will be the segment where renowned dance-guru Chitra Visweswaran teaches dance movements in Bharatanatyam to viewers (every week).
With three new rounds, the game show will test the dancing skills, creativity and on-the-spot improvisation of abhinaya (expression) of the participants.
And this time, NRI dance gurus and dancers of the younger generation will be judges and will select the winners. Actress Maanu, Swathi, musician Mohan Vaidhya and dancers Lata-Geetha sisters, Lakshmi Ramaswamy, Shobana Ramesh, Lakshmi Rao, Rama Vaidyanathan (Delhi), Sheela Unnikrishnan, Chamundeshwari(UK), Ramya Ramanarayanan (USA), Neena Prasad (Kerala), Uma Sriram, Usha Sreenivasan, Parvathy Ravi Ghantasala, Kavitha Ramu, Padma Sampath Kumar (Delhi), Naresh Kumar (Mumbai), Padmini Chari (USA), Madhusree (USA), Prameela Ramesh (Muscat), Kala-Mala Sisters (Muscat), Shailaja, Deepak Venkateshwaran (Kumbakonam), Vidya Bhavani Suresh and Divyasena are the judges for the new 'Thaka Dhimi Tha' show.
Earlier this show was anchored by actress-dancers Bhanupriya, Shobana and Sukhanya. The new edition of 'Thaka Dhimi Tha' will be presented by a young dancer Nivedita.
This show has been on air for more than three years. More than 600 young dancers from Chennai, other parts of India, USA, UK, Middle East and various other countries have participated so far. Concept and direction for this game show is by dancer Radhika Shurajit. Script and co-ordination is by Churchil Pandian.
