IFCM's global tele-teaching scheme 
The International Foundation for Carnatic Music (IFCM) founded by Chitravina N Ravikiran has recently launched two new chapters of its Centre in Chennai.

In charge of Central Chennai chapter is young musician Savita Narasimhan, while B. Bhargavi, will head the South Chennai chapter.

The courses offered include: vocal, chitravina, Hawaiian guitar, violin, veena, flute, guitar, saxophone and keyboard.

The centres are also involved in the 'Global Tele-teaching Scheme' offering distance learning facilities to students in all parts of the world. Tele-teaching is a combination of audio tapes/CDs, telephone and internet.

The other activities of IFCM include publications, audio productions, and assistance to artistes through the Musicians Benevolent Fund.
