Talent search in Bharatanatyam 
Chennai based Sri Mudhraalaya in association with Thee Shiksha Garden Club holds competitions in Bharatanatyam in the coming months.

The contests are in three categories:
Sub-junior - age 5 to 9,
Junior - age 10 to 14,
Senior - age 15 to 25.
Preliminary rounds will be held in February and the semi-finals and finals in March and April. Registration closes on February 15, 2005.

The winners will be given an opportunity for a public performance alongwith a cash award.Says dancer Lakshmi Ramaswamy, one of the organisers, "In recent times, opportunities for dance performances are punctuated by money than talent. This has been our concern for quite some time and we wanted to bring about a change. We're holding this contest for talent search and to encourage young talent and give them a platform."
