On 9 April, 2005, vocalist Chitra Ramakrishnan presented a chamber music concert in Widnes near Liverpool, UK. She was accompanied by Ramkumar on mridangam. Chitra is a disciple of T.V. Gopalakrishan and her concert reflected his style of music.

It was an informal session, allowing discussion after every song. The concert featured several of Bharatiyar's compositions.

After three hours of the concert, mridangist Ramkumar rushed to catch the last train to Birmingham! Chitra continue to sing though.
