Percussive Arts Centre, Bangalore hosted the 24th Taalavaadyotsava festival in the last week of May in Bangalore.

The 'Palani Subramanya Pillai' award was presented to vidwan L. Bhimachar and the H. Puttachar Memorial award to H.S. Sudhindra.

'K. Puttu Rao Memorial Palghat Mani Iyer' award was presented to senior musician M. Balamurali Krishna at the valedictory function.

A seminar on thaalavaadyas - percussive instruments featuring Manipuri Khol, Shri Kol, Bangla Dol and Kara Nakara was also organised.
