Ananya Yuva Sangeethotsava / Bangalore

Bangalore based Ananya in association with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, BTM Cultural Academy, Devagiri Sangeetha Sabha, Malleswaram Sangeetha Sabha and Sri Tyagaraja Gana Sabha (Trust R.) hosts 'Sangati' its 4th Ananya Yuva Sangeethotsava and its annual award ceremony, from 10 to 14 May, 2006 to be held simultaneously at various venues in Bangalore.

Music concerts showcasing young artistes and a photo exhibition featuring portraits of some of the young talent of Karnataka will also be held on this occasion.

The awards ceremony is being held on 14 May, at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore.

Ananya Awards are being presented to H.K. Narasimha Murthy, Dr. V.S. Sampathkumaracharya, Kalavathi Avadhooth (vocal), S.V. Narayana (violin), B.R. Srinivas (mridanga) and B.S. Purushottam (khanjira). A multimedia presentation, 'Evolution of Music' will be presented by B. Lakshmi.
