Music Fest in Bangalore in November
By Harini Raghavan / Bangalore

Nadasurabhi Cultural Association will have its 13th annual festival in Bangalore from Novemver 17.

This organisation was established in 1993. It started with just a handfull of ambitious musicians and music lovers who wanted a music sabha in Koranmangala, Bangalore, for music lovers in what is considered to be the IT corridor.

At that time, rasikas were denied of good music programmes, especially the senior citizens, as the other music sabhas were all situated in far off places. The sabha started in a small way, with a few mambers, little funds, and concerts taking place in the liviing room of one of the founder members. With time, the hard work of good samaritans brought forth better funds and more members and now, Nadasurabhi has got the status of a reputed sabha, conducting regular monthly concerts and annual festival concerts in a decent auditorium, inviting top class artistes for performances.

The 13th annual music festival wil now take place betwen Nov.17 and 23 and the following artistes will perform
Nov 17 . Dr. R.K. Srikantan - Vocal.
Nov 18 . T.M. Krishna - Vocal
Nov 19. T.N. Seshagopalan - Vocal
Nov 20 . Sikkil Sisters - Flute recital
Nov 21. Vidwan Sanjay Subramanian - Vocal
Nov 22 Lalgudi G.J.R. Krishnan and Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi - Violin duet
