Vocalist Charulatha Mani presents a series of concerts titled 'Isai Payanam'.
The popular TV serial on the same outlines encourages Charulatha to extend the concept to the longer concert format.
Charulatha proposes to hold these concerts every month. The first live interactive concert was held on March 17 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore, Chennai.
She presented four ragas on that day. Drawing parallels with semi-classical pieces and film songs based on the ragas, she presented the Carnatic compositions in the same ragas.
