Vidwan O. V. Subramaniam passed away on July 8 in Chennai. He was 94.

He was celebrated for the Thanjavur bani. His sons - O. S. Sundar, O. S. Thyiagarajan and O. S. Arun - followed his legacy and are renowned artistes in their own right.
