Important book on Carnatic music
 

An important piece of work in Carnatic music is to be released on Sunday, Sept.26, 5. 30 p.m. in Chennai.

The English translation of 'Sangita Sampradaya Pradarsini' - Vol. 1 written by Dr. P. P Narayanaswami and Vidya Jayaraman will be offered to rasikas.

The event also marks the release of CDs, 'Pearls of South Indian Ragas' of Prof. S. R. Janakiraman and 'Sriveene Namaste', veena music of Karaikudi Dr. S. Subramanian. A violin solo by Dr. Sriram Parasuram follows.
