One of the active arts organisations based in Kochi is Society Dharani. It is hosting its annual Kalotsav for 2010 from Nov.1 to 5 in Ernakulam, at the Kerala Fine Arts Hall.

The fest has a variety of concerts for the rasikas.

It opens with a dance recital by Ananda Shankar Jayant and her dancers who are based in Hyderabad.

Sanjay Subramanyan who is a popular artiste in Kerala too is listed for day 2 with his concert. Ashimbandhu Bhattacharya and his troupe present Kathak on Nov.3 and Pandit Ramkumar Misra presents a Hindustani tabla concert on the last day.

On three evenings, preceding the main show are recitals by young, talented dancers.

Shyamala Surendran, dancer and teacher is the chairperson of Dharani and T K Prakash is the convenor.
