Some years ago, Bangalore's arts bodies which promote music and dance came together, formed an umbrella and floated what seems to have now become a well-known music contest and festival - one which provides the platform for some of the best young talents in this part of India.
Yet another edition of Kalavantha Youth Music Festival starts on Jan 24 and goeson till Jan. 29.
It will be held at Unnati Centre, 4th Main, Temple Road, Sadananda Nagar, near Bayyappanahalli Metro station, NGEF East, Bangalore - 38.
The best young artistes will be decorated with awards.

Jan 25 - 4.30 pm - Dharini Veera Raghavan (Vocal)
6.15 pm - Vivek Moozhikkulam (Vocal)
Jan 26 - 4.30 pm - Lakshmi Suryateja (Vocal)
6.15 pm - Srinidhi Murali (Vocal)
Jan 27 - 4.30 pm - R. Sai Vignesh (Vocal)
6.15 pm - Gargi Shabaray (Vocal)
Jan 28 - 4.30 pm - Tejas Manjunath & Pranav Manjunath (Violin duet)
6.15 pm - Bhargavi Venkatram (Vocal)
Jan 29 - 5.00 pm - T. S. Pattabhiraman Pandit (Vocal)
6.30 pm - Kalavanta awards function. The chief guest is vocalist and vainika, Prince Rama Varma.
This fest is open to all.
