The 67th edition of Kalakshetra's Art Festival, celebrated every December is this year to be held from Dec.21 to 31.
Performances will be held at Kalakshetra's unique auditorium but admission is limited to 80 guests who need to buy tickets. Bookings are open now - on www.bookmyshow.com.
This is to follow the pandemic time regulations issue dby Tamil Nadu state.
The recitals will be webcast live from the venue. Daily 6 p.m.
The festival opens with Andal Charitram by the Kalakshetra repertory; a production that has been revived and features dancers of the day. In addition, there are four other evergreen dance drama Kalakshetra productions.
There are also two Carnatic and one Hindustani music concert besides a jugalbandhi concert. And a Kathakali performance.
Kalakshetra will also be organizing its national seminar ‘Kala Samprekshana’ - The art of seeing Art. This is on 22nd & 23rd December 2020.
This will highlight the practice, tradition and history through a series of lectures and demonstrations and this years’ theme will be – The True Spirit of Art.
